Refund & Exchange Policy

Thank you for supporting handmade! Because every item is made to order, please review the policy below before purchasing.

Personalized & Custom Items

All personalized and custom items are final sale — no refunds and no exchanges. This includes any item made with custom text, colors, sizing, or other details specific to your order.

Exception: If an item arrives with an error made on our end (wrong text, wrong color, defect, etc.), we will replace it at no charge. Please contact us within 3 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the issue, and we'll get a replacement on its way.

Non-Personalized Items — Refunds

Refunds are available on non-personalized items under the following conditions:

  • Request must be made within 14 days of delivery
  • Item must be unused and in its original condition
  • Customer is responsible for return shipping costs
  • Once the item is received and inspected, a refund will be issued for the item price minus the original shipping cost
  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 3-5 business days of receiving the returned item

Exchanges

Exchanges are available on non-personalized items under the following conditions:

  • Item must be shipped back in its original, unused condition
  • Customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping
  • Customer is also responsible for the shipping cost of the new/exchanged item
  • Please contact us before shipping anything back so we can confirm availability and provide instructions

How to Start a Return or Exchange

Email us at hello@mapleandrose.ca with your order number and reason for the return or exchange. We'll respond with next steps and a return address.
